Ballet Folklórico Flor de Mayo (BFFM) is a non-profit organization established in 1994. We are a diverse group of dancers representing southern California. Our goal is to educate the world about the richness of Mexican culture through dance and music. Our dance company keeps traditions alive, as reflected in our authentic costumes and choreographies.
BFFM has traveled to various international dance festivals such as; the 15th and 16th International Tourism Festival in Beijng, China, the VIII International Folkloric Festival Bracciano’s Castle in Bracciano, Italy, the Santiago de Chile Cultural Festival in Santiago, Chile, the "Costa Brava Folk festival in Lloret del Mar, Spain and the 12th International Competition Festival of Folklore, Dance and Music, ETOILES DE PARIS 2018 where we won the GRAND PRIX award. These international dance festivals have inspired BFFM , which is why we now annually host the Itotia World Dance Festival in Southern California.
